Armenia born soprano Liana Aleksanyan started her musical career at the age of 9 with piano lessons at the Mirzoyan Music School. With 16 she became a voice student at the S. Danielyan Academy, where she also appeared in minor roles as a member of the opera studio.
In 2000, Ms. Aleksanyan took up her voice studies at the Komitas Conservatory in Yerevan in the class of Sergey Danielyan, completing her degree with distinction in 2005.During her years of study, she made her debut of La Traviata at the Armenian National Theatre in Yerevan.
Appearing in a few International competitions she was awarded 3rd prize in the “Concours International de Chant” in Toulouse, was a finalist in the “Competizione dell’opera” in Dresden and Hans Gabor Belvedere competition ,where she got invited by several Opera Houses in Europe.
Ms. Aleksanyan made her first stage experiences in Europe as Fiordiligi (COSI FAN TUTTE) at the Opera de Bauge Festival/France.Same year made her debuts in the title role of MANON LESCAUT at the Oslo National Opera House and the Linz Theatre, also as Contessa (LE NOZZE DI FIGARO) at the Vienna Volksoper. In 2006/2007 season she made her debut with the Staatstheater Braunschweig as Violetta (LA TRAVIATA), later successfully returning as Gilda (RIGOLETTO), Mimì (LA BOHEME), Desdemona (Otello), Luisa (Luisa Miller), Amelia (Simon Boccanegra), Tatjana (Eugin Onegin) , Amelia (Ernani) etc.
In the season 2010/2011 Liana was invited to join ensemble in Aalto Theater Essen ,where she worked with Conductor Maestro Stefan Soltesz performing with him Verdi , Puccini, Donizetti ,Mozart e.t.c. Her roles in Aalto Theater include Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Amalia (I Masnadieri), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Antonia (The tales of Hoffmann), Violetta Valery (La Traviata). Liana has been performing also in Opera Houses like State Opera Hamburg, Staatstheater Bern, Staatstoper Stuttgart, Komische Oper Berlin, Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf, Deutsche Oper Berlin etc.
Ms. Aleksanyan made her debut in Hamburg State opera house in 2009, singing Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Gilda (Rigoletto). Later was invited to performed in Hamburg Violetta Valery (La Traviata), Micaela (Carmen) and Blanche (Dialogues of the Carmelites), under the conducting of Mrs. Simone Young.
She made a debut singing with a big success her first Madame Butterfly in Oper Cologne. Later on was invited to sing in another production of Madame Butterfly directed by Maestro Hugo de Ana in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Liana sang opposite Maestro Daniel Oren in Gala concert at the Shangai Grand Theatre .
During this season she made her debut stepping on stage of Teatro Alla Scala in Milan as Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly under the conducting of Maestro Riccardo Chailly.
